The Just Dashes SoftCap Dash Cover is a practical interior refresh for 1969-1985 Porsche 911, 912 and 930 owners who want to improve a cracked, faded, or worn dashboard without the cost, downtime, or shipping risk of a full dash restoration.

SoftCap installs over the existing dashboard and provides a cleaner, padded, OEM-inspired appearance. SoftCap uses padded vinyl with a vehicle-appropriate factory-style grain selected to match or closely resemble the original dash texture.

It is a strong option for drivers, weekend cars, resale prep, and classic interiors that need a more finished look.

Choosing Your Configuration

This dash was built four different ways, and the cap is formed differently for each one. Check two things on your own car before ordering:

  • Air conditioning. Look at the center of the dash top. If your car has factory A/C, the center section is cut away for the vents and the cap is narrower through the middle. Choose With A/C. If there are no center vents, choose Without A/C and you will get the full-width padded cap.
  • Center dash speaker. If your dash top has a rectangular speaker opening, choose Single Speaker. If the top is smooth with no speaker, choose No Speaker.

Fitment

Fits select 1969-1985 Porsche 911, 912 and 930 Turbo dashboards.

1965-1968 cars use a different dash and no cap is made for them; restoration is the only route. 1986-1989 911 and 930 owners: a cap is available for your car with factory A/C only — contact us and we will take the order directly.

Please confirm your own dash configuration before ordering. Each SoftCap is made to order for the configuration you select. If you are not sure, send us a photo of your dash top before ordering and we will confirm it.

Prefer a Full Restoration?

We also fully restore the 911, 912 and 930 dash. A restoration is a different service: you ship us your original dash, we strip it to the frame and rebuild it with new foam and vinyl, and it comes back looking factory fresh. We also restore door rails for these cars, plus knee pads, armrests and map pockets for 1969-1973 cars. Contact us for a restoration quote if that is a better fit for your project.

SoftCap is not a full dash restoration or replacement dash pad. It is designed to improve the appearance of an existing dashboard. Severe warping, structural damage, or missing dash sections should be reviewed before ordering.

  • Where do I send the physical color sample for my dash? Please send your color sample with your order number to: Just Dashes, 5941 Lemona Ave., Van Nuys, CA 91411.
  • Why does Just Dashes request a physical color sample? We request a physical color sample to ensure the color match is exact for your custom dash order. Without this process, we cannot guarantee a correct color match.
  • What type of color sample is required? We ask for a color sample from an interior part of your car that reflects the true, original color. Often, customers provide a strip of vinyl that has been shielded from sun exposure.
  • How large does the color sample need to be? The sample does not need to be large. A piece the size of a quarter is sufficient.
